Head of the Hooch Regatta
2017

All of Hillsborough Crew will attend Hooch again this year!  Crews from all over the country attend this regatta, which is very busy and quite a sight to behold.

The club will setup our parent tent in the tent city, but we will not do hospitality setup as there is no room and there are many food vendors on site.

The Club has blocked off 15 rooms for the team.  Rowers will share rooms, four to a room.  Parents do not need to reserve rooms for their rowers.

In additional, there are approximately 15 rooms set aside for parents under the name "Hillsborough Rowing Club." Please call as soon as possible to reserve one of these rooms as they only are available on a first come first served basis and need to be booked by October 6th .   The room rate is $115 per night and does not include 9.25% sales tax and 8% state tax. To reserve call sales manager Jessica D. Kelley.

Of course you do not need to stay at this particular hotel.  Feel free to stay elsewhere, if desired.

Wendy Carrion, our regatta coordinator, is handling these reservations, so please direct additional questions to her.

Breakfast is included with the hotel stay, beginning at 6 a.m. each day.

Lunch from Panera on Friday and Saturday will be purchased for rowers from the fee collected for this regatta.

Dinner details for Friday night still are being finalized.  The fare will include food from the Olive Garden, which will be eaten together at the hotel.  The estimated cost is $15 per person.

All other meals are the responsibility of each rower.  We usually break into smaller groups for dinners and either split the bill or each pay our own way.

Water will be provided at the regatta during the race day at our parent tent.

School Business:
Rowers will be missing one day of school, on Friday, November 3rd.
Mrs. Boyce will handle the "School Business" paperwork.  Rowers will not need to get signatures on forms.  But each rower should tell each of their teachers that they will be absent on Friday and ask for homework in advance.
